Backblog 5 Have You Ever

Blog Insinuation…had a nagging fear that obeying God might not be quite the best option? That it might mean an unhappy future, a grim severe path, an unfair exchange for what you stand to lose?

Then you have the oldest virus in the world in your system. It’s the original lie that the serpent spoke to Eve. ‘You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ (Genesis 3.4,5). He insinuated (suitable word) that God had ulterior motives in his command, that God is not to be trusted. Satan was the first cynic. I’m the next if I swallow it, with loose floorboards in my faith.

How do I shake off this bug? Sometimes you have to work at it, focus on the truth about God’s faithfulness, remember how he’s helped you before, deliberately express faith and refusal of the lie.
The bottom line is that if God gave his Son for us, will be not freely give us all things (Romans 8.32)? You answer.
